Big Girl Food!

At my last visit to see Dr. Kumar, he told Mommy and Daddy
that I could start eating big girl food. Since I had never really
spent any time in the dining room, they decided to wait until I
got my highchair. Well, Grandmom and Grandpop got me my
awesome highchair for Christmas so on December 27th, Mommy
and Daddy decided it was time to give it a try.

Modeling my new highchair

My first attempt at big girl food was some rice cereal. Mommy
and Daddy were really surprised at how well I did right
away. Even though I got about half of it all over me, I managed
to figure out what I was supposed to do pretty quickly. Check out the
video below of my second attempt (I was an old pro at that point!).

Ready to give it a go

My First Christmas!

Phew! Am I exhausted! Why did no one tell me that Christmas
is such a busy time?? Even though it was a whirl wind, I had a
super fantastic Christmas! It all started on Christmas Eve when
Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Grammy's house to celebrate with
Grammy, Grandpa, Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Steven, Uncle Pat, Aunt Ashley,
Cameron, Aubrie, and Kolby. I have never seen so many presents in my
whole life!!!
I got so many awesome presents and had a fun time hanging out with
everybody.
Then we went home, I got a quick bath, and got in bed to wait for Santa!
The next morning, I woke up and went downstairs to see what Santa
brought me. When I saw under the tree, I couldn't believe all
the presents!
I got lots of fun stuff, like a jumperoo and stuff to help
me eat big girl food! After all of our presents were opened, we took a rest.
Then, Grandmom and Grandpop came over to exchange even more presents!
I am such a lucky girl!!
Later that night, we had Christmas dinner at our house. Lots of family came
and we had a really fun time. I got to hang out with all my cousins and aunts
and uncles and grandparents. I even got to wear a very pretty party dress!
The next day, Mommy, Daddy, and I spent the day putting together and playing
with all my new toys.
We had so much fun! Check out the video below of me
trying out my new jumperoo! I had such a great Christmas! Thank you to
everyone who helped make it so awesome!

Blizzard 2009

I woke up on December 19th to lots of white! While I had been sleeping
it had started to snow. It snowed, and snowed, and snowed! It was my
first blizzard! When it was all said and done, we got about 20 inches of snow!

We had a super fun snow day at home. Daddy did lots of
shoveling (which I'm not sure was very fun for him) and I even took a nap in
my crib for the first time since I came home from the hospital after I was born!
One of the times Daddy went out to shovel, me and Mommy went outside to check
it all out. It was really cold and windy so I didn't stay outside too long, but of course
managed to get a few pictures to document it all!
Then we all came in and made
lots and lots of Christmas cookies. We listened to Christmas songs all day and
night and really got into the Christmas spirit!

finish baking!

on the grass!

Up to my waist!

The next day, we went outside to survey the damage and see

how deep the snow got once the storm was over.

Now it's up to my chest!

Laying in the snow

All in all, I have to say, this snow stuff is pretty to look at and

is great for getting a few extra days at home with Mommy, but

I do love the warm weather!

A Farm, A Tractor, and Santa!

On December 17th, Mommy, Daddy, and I met Scott, Tricia,
and Ava at Huber's Farm to see Santa. Mommy and Daddy had
never gone before and we were all excited to bundle up and take
a hayride. It was a really cold night so Mommy made sure to bundle
me up really good. They had a tractor for the hayride with blankets in
case we got cold. The tractor was all decorated with lights to look just like
a sleigh! We rode on the sleigh through the farm that was all lit up with
Christmas decorations. Then, we pulled up to where Santa was! Ava sat on
Santa's lap first and then I got a turn. I didn't cry or anything! I was
a little confused but sat still long enough for Tricia to get some pictures.

Then we waited for the tractor to come back and get us. We stood around a
big fire while Daddy fed me a bottle. Then we got back on the sleigh and
saw some more lights. Once we got back to the parking lot, we walked around
a small area with lots of Christmas decorations and took some more
pictures. We had such a great time and will definitely be back next
year!

The whole fam all bundled up!

Playing Catch Up
As you can see from my last post, things around here
have been a little hectic, so I'm pretty behind in my blogging.
So please forgive the massive amounts of blogs that are coming.
We have had lots of things happening around these parts! Even though
we are still all very sad about Della, lots of good things have gone
on too...

Gone but never forgotten

I am very sad to report that our family suffered a terrible loss..

On Monday, my sister "Sweet" Della Rose passed away.

We are dealing with the loss but it is not easy.

We love her and miss her dearly. She is in doggy

heaven now but we will never forget her. We know
you are getting all the pizza crust, french fries, and butt scratchin you want.
Be a good girl up there princess, we love you!
