Happy New Year!!!

Hi everybody! Maybe you don't remember me, but I'm Katelynn :) I know that I have been gone for almost a year but, Mommy explained New Year's resolutions to me and I decided that mine will be to do a better job keeping everyone updated on  the exciting things happening in The Chisolm Family.

So, here is a quick recap of the past 8 months:
  • I realized how much I LOVE the pool!

  • We watched fireworks at Fullerton and I giggled at the "booms"

  • I got potty trained!!!! (This may be more exciting to Mommy and Daddy, but I am glad to be done with the diapers!)

  • I started learning my letters

  • Mommy and I did some really fun things this summer (the zoo, lots of trips to the park, the Turkey Hill Experience, Ladew Gardens, etc)

  • I had my first ride on Grandpa's boat and was a total natural :)

  • We had our first family vacation this summer at the beach

  • I TURNED 2!!!

  • We went to Weber's Farm and Huber's Farm

  • I dressed up as a beautiful bumble bee for Halloween and went trick-or-treating for the first time

  • I met Santa (3 times!)

  • I saw the lights on 34th Street with Mommy and Daddy

  • I had a super fantastic Christmas and Santa brought me the one  present I asked for (a little blue present with a Dora and Boots inside that I can play in my bathtub with)

A few more exciting things to note:
  • Mommy graduated from Johns Hopkins University with her Master's Degree
  • Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 5 year wedding anniversary in Antigua
  • Daddy turned 32 in July
  • Mommy turned 30 in August
  • Daddy got a new job

2011 was a really fun and exciting year and I can't wait to see all the fun things I will get to do in 2012! Happy New Year!!!

Birthday/Easter/Early Spring Recap

Hi there everybody! Sorry for the delay in posts. Things have been very busy
here lately and I have been having lots of fun!
First up, was my cousin Kolby's birthday party. Kolby was turning two and invited
me and Mommy and Daddy to his party. Uncle Pat put together a huge sandbox that
I stayed in for the majority of the party (wardrobe FAIL to Mommy for the tiered
skirt that was filled with three times more sand than any other item of clothing she
could have picked!). I left the sandbox to try my hand at coloring on the driveway
with some sidewalk chalk and to eat cake. We had a lot of fun and are glad
that Kolby invited us to spend his special day with him!

Next up was Easter. I was a very busy girl this Easter! I started off the Easter
Egg Hunt circuit with my first ever hunt at Ms. Robin's. I got some good practice
and the older girls gave me some important pointers. I got the hang of it pretty
quick and got really excited when I found eggs.

For the next few days, Mommy and Daddy went on a quick trip to
Virginia for Daddy's work while I got to spend some time with Mom-Moo and
Pop-Pop. While I don't have any pictures of this part of the week, I can
assure you that I had an amazing time!

The Saturday before Easter was the neighborhood egg hunt. It had rained cats
and dogs the night before but a little mud didn't stop me. I was on a mission
and found an amazing amount of eggs! I even got to meet the creepiest one
eyed Easter Bunny ever! I wasn't scared (in fact, I talked his long ears off) but
Mommy was terrified!

Later that day, Mimi and Uncle Pat and Kolby came over for egg hunt number
3 and an early dinner. Kolby and I had an awesome time finding eggs
and blowing bubbles. After dinner, we even played "soccer ball" in the
front yard.

After they all left, Mommy and Daddy and I dyed Easter eggs for the first time.
I think I may still be a little young for it though cause I was a mess and not at
all enjoying myself!

After I went to sleep, the Easter Bunny snuck in and left me an Easter basket filled
with presents and hid even more eggs around the house! I woke up on Sunday
morning to find my awesome LeapTop and rocked Easter Egg Hunt #4!

After a really fun time at the playground with Mommy and Daddy, we
headed to Mom-Moo and Pop-Pop's for Easter dinner. I participated
in my final Easter Egg Hunt of the year with my cousins Zachary and Olivia.
When the hunt was over and we had posed for the family pictures, it was
dinner time. We had a great time catching up with family and I had
a great time jumping on the Mickey bed with Zach!

As you can see, we had a terrific (and busy) last few weeks. Things
are about to get exciting around here as Mommy graduates from grad
school and finishes up work for the summer, so stay tuned for more
of my "Kapades"!
