So Much to Be Thankful For!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope you all had as great of a holiday as we did! We

kept pretty busy but definitely got to relax and think about

how truly lucky we are to have each other!

We decided to get out of the house on Wednesday night and

go to one of my favorite places, Storyville! We had a lot of fun!

On Thanksgiving, we had a great morning laying around by the fire

watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and football. That

evening, we went to dinner at Grandmom and Grandpop's. The whole

family was there and I had a lot of fun eating and playing with my 

cousins!

On Friday, after Mommy and Aunt Holly braved the stores,

the Dunn side of the family came over to have pizza and 

hang out. We all had such a great time laughing and talking

and playing! I was so worn out by the end of the night that I

just laid down in the middle of the playroom while everyone

played around me!!!

On Saturday, Daddy had to work, so Mommy and I hung

out and played all morning. Then that night, we went to the

Festival of Trees at the Timonium Fairgrounds with my

friends Ava and Athena and their mommy and daddy, Scott

and Tricia. All the lights and trees were so pretty! After that,

we went out to the Nautilus Diner for dinner and headed home.

We wrapped up the weekend by getting together with Aunt Holly,

Uncle Rich, Zachary, and Olivia to watch the Ravens beat the

Buccaneers. (Mind my Christmas pajamas...Aunt Holly and I 

were having a Christmas card photo shoot earlier)

What a great and fun weekend!

Trick or Treat

Ok, ok, ok. I know. It's the week of Thanksgiving and I'm 

only just now posting about our Halloween shenanigans.

We lead busy lives over here! What can I say?

Anyway, Halloween. So for those of you who don't know,

I dressed up as my favorite animal for Halloween this year.

That's right, a DUCK! After an intense costume search for

the perfect duck costume, Aunt Holly came through by

finding the absolute perfect one at a consignment shop

in PA. PHEW! Crisis averted!

The first stop on the Halloween circuit, was the annual

neighborhood Halloween parade. The parade was a week 

before Halloween this year, and it was rather warm outside.

So much so that I was NOT enjoying my heavy costume!

My cousins Zachary, Aubrie, Kolby, and Olivia came over to

watch (and walk in) the parade. It was a lot of fun!

In order to make the costume a bit more creative (to make

those lousy judges happy), we tried to make my costume

be a pull toy duck, complete with wheels and string.

Sadly, the wheels popped off before we even got to judging

and some kid with a parade float won. It's ok...everyone

there knew who the cutest kid was!

Then, I got to wear my costume again for a Halloween

party at Ms. Robin's. We got to dress up and eat sweet

treats! It was a lot of fun!

The night before Halloween, Mommy and Daddy and I carved

my first jack-o-lantern! We had such a fun time and decided to

keep the face traditional. I got to help Mommy draw on

the face and Daddy did all the carving. Mommy and I even

wore special "pumpkin carving glasses". 

Finally the big day arrived! On Halloween night Mommy and

Daddy got me in my costume and we headed out to see 

the trick-or-treaters. As usual, we had a bonfire with our

next door neighbors. I played away from the fire and got to

see lots of cool and scary costumes! I even got some candy 

from our neighbors (that I gave to Daddy!).

All-in-all, Halloween was a success! By the end of the night,

I was a tired little ducky watching Mickey with my cup of

milk!

Next up...Thanksgiving!

To Grandpa's House We Go

Last Thursday, Mommy and Daddy and I drove in the car

forever! We drove over 6 hours and through 7 states to go visit

my grandpa in Massachusetts! Grandpa lives in a really cute condo on the

water in Cape Cod. We drove all night long and got to Grandpa's at 4:00 in

the morning! I was kind of a rock star and slept the entire time! I did

wake up when we got there and hung out with everyone for a few minutes

before Mommy and Daddy passed out.

The next day, after some well deserved naps, we headed out to Plymouth, MA.

It was a really windy day cause we drove through a Nor'easter to get to New

England. In Plymouth, we got to see a replica of the Mayflower, Plymouth Rock,

and some ducks! (The ducks were the most exciting to me!) Then we had a

nice lunch out and headed back to relax. 

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy and I went to Back Acre Farms

in Middleborough, MA. It was a really cute pumpkin farm! Since we had

been so busy at home, Mommy thought it would be fun to go to a

farm on our trip. She was right...it would have been if it wasn't 

super windy again :( I had a lot of fun on the hayride to the pumpkin

patch with Daddy. I even liked walking around for a little while. Then

the wind got pretty bad and I was over it. We did manage to find a

great pumpkin and Daddy got some butternut squash for soup!

When we got home, I took a nap while Mommy and Daddy went out

to lunch. When I woke up, I got to play with Grandpa and Janne! We had

so much fun!

That night, Mommy's Uncle Joey and Aunt Donna went out to dinner

with us at a restaurant named Piper Beau's. The restaurant is actually

owned by someone from Baltimore! They even had a Baltimore Ravens

flag hanging outside! Dinner was really fun and I entertained the whole place

by running laps around the bar, trying to go into the kitchen, and begging

to sit on barstools! Since I looked so cute, no one was bothered by it!

The next day was a big day! Sunday was the big Ravens vs. Patriots

game! Mommy and Daddy got me all dressed up in my Ravens gear

and we posed for some pictures. Then they went back to Piper Beau's, 

where they had reserved seats (!) and I got to hang out with Grandpa

and Janne for the day! We had so much fun! And even though the 

Ravens lost it in overtime, Mommy and Daddy seemed like they

had a good time too. 

That night, we had a nice New England dinner of clam cakes and 

fried clams (well, I didn't, but Mommy and Daddy did!) and got rested

up for our trek back to Maryland. We left around 10:30 Sunday night

and got back home at about 4:30 in the morning on Monday. I actually

woke up on the ride around New York and stayed awake until

we were almost in Delaware! 

We had such a fun trip and are already planning our next trip back!

(The next time may involve a train or airplane though!) Thank you

so much to Grandpa and Janne for letting us crash their condo

for the weekend! We love you!
